From humble beginnings in 1993 a dream was brought to life by the founder and former owner Craig Crowell. Starting with a dump truck and one dozer Mr. Crowell began building house pads and small projects for local builders and homeowners around the Lindale and east Texas area. Over the years he added more equipment and employees as the East Texas area allowed him to grow with a loyal following of repeat business and creating a brand of unmatched quality and integrity.

Throughout the years Mr. Crowell's daughter, Brittany Brown, worked part time in the business during her high school and college years assisting with the financial duties while gaining a unique insight into the highs and lows of small business ownership. After graduating college and receiving a master's degree in social work Brittany went on to become an LMSW working in hospice for several years before being recruited as the Director for Texas Children's Hospital. She thrived as a young leader receiving several awards for consistently cultivating the best performing team as her leadership skills were advanced well beyond her age and she was adamantly passionate about helping those around her succeed.

During this time her father expressed a desire to sell or liquidate the business and retire. After careful prayer and consideration Brittany and her husband Zane decided to purchase the business in September of 2018. Convincing the bank to loan this amount of money to a young entrepreneur was a monumental task in itself but was just the beginning of a bright future for Craig's Dirt Service.

Since the purchase of the company, Brittany's leadership and ability to build an unstoppable team has doubled the size of the company and now employees over 40 people serving all of east Texas. Craig's Dirt Service has expanded into large commercial earthwork, turnkey developments and heavy civil earthmoving operations with expectations for substantial expansion over the next few years. Keep an eye out for us on the next construction project in East Texas.
